And here we are, fully into February…and a nice weekend!

Kicked off the weekend with a nice dinner with my friend and her hubby.

let the blooming begin!

Let the blooming begin!  My snow drops are happy and upon closer examination, I see the small nubs of tulips and daffodils all over the yard…nothing like a 55 degree February day to get us Oregonians out in our shorts with our knees in the dirt!  (Hey, those weeds were askin’ for it!)

Nice morning walk to The Arbor Lodge for coffee & conversation with a new friend.

Beasts of the Southern Wild. Best movie of 2012. Better than Lincoln. Better than Silver Linings Playbook.

splurged on a little point and shoot, the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-WX150

Decided to splurge on a little point & shoot, the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-WX150. Believe it or not boys and girls, I’ve been shooting film on SLR, so this will be my FIRST digital camera beyond my phone).  (photo source)

The Paperboy had a stellar cast and John Cusack

The Paperboy had a stellar cast and John Cusack was revolting and awful and, well, freakin’ incredible.  Why he’s not nominated for Best Supporting Actor is beyond me.  Although to be honest, I am trying to forget about his character and go back to the sweet memories of Grosse Pointe Blank and Say Anything…  (photo source)

  1. ohhhhh, all of those awesome photographs (shots of people etc) were on fillm! film just offers something intangible, doesn’t it? i’d like to get back to it but need more knowledge before i do. my daughter was born may 18th, and june 1st almost 13 years ago i got developing equipment for my birthday. she was already a handful at a couple weeks old (and has been ever since:) and i never once opened the equipment. one day soon(ish) i hope to.
